OUR INITIATIVES

2. Environment

MIDF is committed to improve the protection of the environment and conserve the natural resources. In view of this, MIDF will educate and create awareness among its employees on the importance of conserving natural resources and environment. Apart from the lecture series, employees will be encouraged to use recycled papers and minimise the utilisation of papers in the company. This includes use of alternative medium such as electronic medium for all internal communications.

MIDF will also conserve energy by encouraging its employees to save electricity and water. Employees will be required to switch off lights and electrical equipment when they are not in-use.

The company will provide sponsorship for individual, association or academia, which intends to undertake study in relation to improvement or conservation of natural resources and environment. The sponsorship may be in the form of special grant or scholarship.

The company will also adhere to its ethical business policy in investment and financing, including its decision not to finance weapons deals to oppressive governments and projects detrimental to environments.
