MIDF brought Angkasawan Negara, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor to bring cheer to 50 underprivileged students at MSAM 2008 when he presented bicycles and school kits to the students, as part of MIDF’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The first Malaysian astronaut, who was a hit at the event, later inspired close to 1,000 students and a big crowd of visitors through his talk about his experiences in space and his determination in wanting to be Malaysia’s first astronaut.
