KUALA LUMPUR, Wednesday, 17 January 2007 - Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (“MIDF”) Group announced a special relief for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (“SMEs”) affected by the recent floods, offering deferment of principal instalments by a minimum of six (6) months or a total restructuring of loans on a case to case basis.
MIDF Group Managing Director Encik Mohd. Najib Hj. Abdullah in a statement said that the special relief is an initiative that MIDF offers to ease the financial
burden of business entrepreneurs, specifically for SMEs to re-build their businesses.
“Our initiative is but a small effort compared to what is needed for individuals and businesses affected by this natural disaster to return to normalcy. MIDF strongly encourages SMEs especially those affected by the floods to tap on the Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation’s funds available at MIDF that offers financing at low rates,” he added.
