Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2007 – The Board of Directors of AMANAH MILLENIA FUND BERHAD (“AMFB”) will draw up proposals for the voluntary liquidation of the Company for submission to its shareholders following a vote against the continuation of AMFB for another five-year period. The vote was made during the Company’s 11th Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) held on 27 June 2007.

The proposals to be formulated would include appointment and manner of appointment of a liquidator. The liquidator as appointed would realize the Company’s property and distribute to the shareholders the assets realised in accordance with their entitlement upon settlement of all statutory and legal debts and payments in accordance with priority of their ranking. The liquidation of the Company would commence upon the shareholders passing a special resolution at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) for the voluntary liquidation of the Company to be convened at a date not more than three months after the date of the AGM.

The resolution on the continuation of AMFB was tabled at the AGM as it is required under Article 47(A) of the Company’s Articles of Association which inter alia states that at the AGM of the Company falling in the calendar year 2007, the Board shall propose an ordinary resolution that the Company should continue as a closed-end fund for a further five-year period.
