Amanah Butler Malaysia Sdn. Bhd Donates RM 150,000 To Local Charities
Kuala Lumpur, 24 December 2007 – Amanah Butler Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“Amanah Butler”), an associate company of Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (“MIDF”), contributed a total amount of RM 150,000 to five (5) local charities during a recent cheque presentation ceremony.
Present to present the mock cheques to charity organisation representatives was Chairman of Amanah Butler Malaysia Sdn Bhd Y.Bhg. Datuk Khalid Abdul Karim, while MIDF Group Managing Director Encik Mohd. Najib bin Hj. Abdullah witnessed the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Executive Director of Amanah Butler Encik Ghulam Mustapha Abdul Ghani said that the charity drive has always been the company’s unique way of connecting with its customers and public at large. It is also one of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts in giving back to the society.
“We are delighted to help the underprivileged especially those who are in need.. We are pleased to announce that this year we are able to donate RM 150,000 to five deserving local charities, where each receives RM 30,000. The amount of RM 150,000 is the total brokerage earned during Amanah Butler’s Annual Charity Day, which was on 12 December 2007, ” Encik Ghulam said.
The five selected charity organisations are Thalassaemia Society of University Hospital, Persatuan Kebangsaan Autisme Malaysia, Children Cancer Research Fund – University Malaya Medical Centre, Pertubuhan Al – Khadeem and University Malaya Medical Centre Paediatrics Ward.
The donation drive was also mainly organised in conjunction with the ICAP Annual Charity Day 2007, which is an international event participated by ICAP offices in all parts of the world. As an associate company of the ICAP Group, Amanah Butler began participating in its annual Charity Day since 2000.
