APPOINTMENT OF ZULKIFLI HAMZAH AS HEAD OF RESEARCH, MIDF INVESTMENT
Kuala Lumpur, 4 August 2008 – Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) is pleased to announce the appointment of ENCIK ZULKIFLI HAMZAH as the Head of Research of MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad.
Prior to this appointment, Zulkifli was the Head of Wealth Management at Maybank Islamic Berhad.
Zulkifli began his career in 1990 as an Administrative Officer at Bank Negara Malaysia’s Bank Regulation Department. His career in equity market research began in 1996 when he joined Capitalcorp Securities Sdn Bhd as economist/banking analyst, after a short stint in the petrochemical industry. In 1998 Zulkifli began his stint at Mayban Securities Sdn Bhd as a Chief Economist/Senior Manager before being promoted to Head of Research at the same institution in 2002.
In 2004, Zulkifli was appointed as Chief Executive Officer at Mayban Investment Management Sdn Bhd, a fund management company before moving on to mainstream banking at Maybank Islamic in August 2007. In all, Zulkifli brings to the MIDF Group a combined 13 years of sell-side and buy-side experience in the capital markets.
Zulkifli obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, England.
With his vast experience in investment banking throughout his career, MIDF Group is confident that Zulkifli will contribute to the growth of MIDF Investment.
