MIDF AND ICLIF SIGN MOU TO CREATE HIGH PERFORMERS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR MIDF STAFF
30 High Achievers under MIDF Talent Management Programme to benefit from programme geared towards developing future corporate leaders

Kuala Lumpur, 5 November 2008 – In its ongoing efforts to enhance its human capital, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF) on establishing a High Performers Leadership Development (HPLD) programme for MIDF staff that has shown considerable ability in their respective fields.

Present at the ceremony were Encik Mohd Najib Hj.Abdullah, Group Managing Director of MIDF and Mr. David J.S. Winfield, Executive Director and CEO of ICLIF, who signed the MoU for their respective organizations.

“Ensuring the continued professional development of our workforce is one of the key pillars behind the MIDF Group’s successes over the past few years. At MIDF, employees of all levels are provided with numerous opportunities to further enhance their capabilities and knowledge via various channels and this programme with ICLIF is one such initiative to groom potential leaders within the Company” said Encik Mohd Najib.

The HPLD programme will serve to augment MIDF Group’s existing Talent Management Programme which identifies highly talented individuals within the organization’s various divisions and companies, and provides them with additional training and support to further enhance their skills.

These selected potential leaders within the MIDF Group will undergo accelerated development programmes focused towards management competency.

“Participants of the program are given personal development opportunities and are expected to act as role models and performance ambassadors for the rest of their colleagues. We hope that they will act as a catalyst towards inculcating an even stronger performance driven culture and will be able to inspire others towards maintaining the Company’s vision of providing quality service to our stakeholders” added Encik Mohd Najib.

The development of human capital has always been at the core of the MIDF Group’s vision, from its commitment towards providing valued “Cradle to Maturity” partnerships in its business transactions, to its education oriented Corporate Social Responsibility efforts with Malaysian Universities and underprivileged children, and the emphasis it places upon ensuring the continued growth of its employees’.
