MIDF Provides Free Transportation to MSAM 2016
Kuala Lumpur, 18 April 2016 – Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2016 (MSAM) organised by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) will take place in Tapah, Perak from 20th – 28th April 2016 and Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) will continue its involvement in the event as one of its major sponsors or Rakan Utama.
MSAM is PNB's corporate effort to educate the public on investment and financial planning. The event aims to educate and improve public understanding on investment, especially the relationship between risks and returns from investment. MSAM is also organised to provide a platform for s to int the general public to know PNB investee companie.
In conjuction with this, MIDF will be providing free transportation service for the convenience of MSAM visitors. The free transportation service will bring visitors from various pick up points to the MSAM site at Padang Stadium Mini Tapah in Tapah, Perak. MIDF has been providing free transportation service since 2007.
Those who would like to use the free service would just need to take the buses which are displaying the MSAM Logo together with ‘Pengangkutan Percuma’ and ‘Tambang Percuma’ stickers. Among the routes for this complimentary bus service are:
The buses will be stopping at all major bus stations in the stated areas. Operational hours of the transportaion service will be the same as the local bus service and will be running throughout MSAM from 20th – 28th April 2016.
The free transportation service provided by MIDF is to encourage more visitors to this annual event which is held for the first time in Tapah, Perak. This will be the 17th edition of MSAM organised by PNB and MIDF is proud provide free transportation services to the event for the 10th year in a row. Residents from Perak will have the rare opportunity to learn about and invest in the many investment products offered by PNB right in their own backyard.
One of the main highlights of the event is the Entrepreneurship Symposium which is organised by MIDF together with PNB. The topic of the symposium for this year is “Youth Entrepreneurship in the Social Media Era” which will be interesting with the line-up of prominent presenters. Several top Malaysian entrepreneurs industry experts will be sharing their experiences with the participants, amongst them the CEO of Kumpulan Syarikat KRU, Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim. The symposium will take place on 23th April 2016 from 8:00 a. m. to 1:00 p.m. at Dewan Merdeka at the event site.
Other attractions of MSAM include a UPSR clinic for students also organised by MIDF which will be attended by 250 primary school students from Year 6. Students will come from 13 surrounding rural area schools within Perak. The program spans over 2 days from 23th – 24th April 2016 and will be held at SMK Buyong Adil. The 2-day clinic will be taught by teaching staff under the Berita Harian Didik team. The clinic is to help prepare the students for their upcoming UPSR exams. This is not the first time MIDF has organised such clinics. This year will be the fifth UPSR clinic organised by MIDF throughout Malaysia over the last which has helped and aided hundreds of rural students.
Besides this, visitors will also be able to open their investment accounts on the spot at the respective participating company booths. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in fun and educational investment games and a colouring contest for the young ones. Another attraction is the opportunity for visitors to win the grand prize of a brand new Ford Fiesta and many daily prizes including motorcycles, bicycles, iPhones and iPads.
