Kuala Lumpur, 11 August 2011 – Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) recently organised a one-day blood donation drive amongst its employees and friends at their head office, as part of its efforts to help increase supply for the national blood bank with the coming of the festive season.
The drive is an annual event for MIDF Group and this year, the campaign managed to collect 42 bags of blood.
“This is one of many ways for MIDF to contribute to society as each bag of blood brings new hope to those in need. We hope that the blood donated will help in supplementing supply for the National Blood Bank. This is a small contribution but we will continue this effort as the contribution can save several lives,” said MIDF Group Managing Director, Datuk Mohd. Najib Hj. Abdullah.
He added that the blood donation drive was held yearly before the festive season in anticipation of the increasing need during Ramadan and the long holidays.
