Stocks and Shares Trading

Our professional team of experienced Dealer’s Representatives can provide you, as a client, an array of opportunities in investing in stocks and shares that are listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Irrespective of whether you are an institutional client or a corporate client being serviced by one of our Salaried Dealer’s Representatives, or a Retail client trading with one of our remisiers/Commissioned Dealer’s Representatives, our team members can give you their professional advice on the type of stocks to invest in, based on your risk appetite.

Other than the conventional trading account, we also offer another type of account known as the “Collateralised Trading Account”, which allows our clients to increase their purchasing capacity, based on a multiple of as high as three times the capped amount of collateral pledged. Collateral can be in the form of cash or a minimum basket of three different stocks or shares.

Underwriting of Stocks and Shares

We provide underwriting services, in the form of underwriting of new securities issues for companies that are to be listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, as well as Rights Issues and Bonus Issues for existing listed companies.

Share Placements

We offer placement services in terms of marketing of a “block” of securities of public listed companies to our clients. The method of offering normally takes into consideration the capital needs of the listed company, the opportunity for the general public to participate in the offering and the shareholding spread requirements that have to be complied with by the listed company.

Share Margin Financing

Share Margin Financing Facility is a credit facility offered to investors to finance their purchases of listed securities, by pledging sufficient collateral either in the form of cash and/or shares.

This facility allows investors to capitalise on the current market opportunities and also to increase and multiply their investment. Moreover, it introduces an avenue for our clients to leverage on their existing positions to further diversify their investment portfolio. Our Share Margin Financing Facility features very competitive margin financing terms as well as the flexibility along with a fast processing and evaluation process.

Market Research and Performance Analysis

The research team analyses and values their portfolio of stocks using a wide range of financial analysis tools as well as technical and fundamental analysis. Apart from this, we also forecast the country’s economic environment and the impact this environment will have on the stock market, especially the impact on our portfolio.

Authorised Depository Agent
MIDF Investment has been appointed an ADA since 30th December 2006. As an ADA, we are able to provide CDS facilities and services to our clients, namely:-

• Deposit/Withdrawal and Transfer of CDS shares
• CDS Settlement and Reconciliation of shares
• CDS Corporate Actions Exercises
• CDS Balance Enquiries

Custody and Nominees Services
We provide Custody and Nominees Services to all our clients under the following three (3) main categories of nominees accounts :-

• Collateralised Trading Accounts
• Share Margin Trading Accounts
• Custodian Accounts

For a minimal fee, we manage all corporate action activities on behalf of our clients, which includes the processing of entitlements for Dividends, Bonus Issues and Rights Issues, together with other corporate exercises. Monthly statements will be sent to our clients, wherein the number of shares credited under their respective nominees accounts will tally with the records as maintained under Bursa Depository.
