KUALA LUMPUR, 17 April 2012 — This year marks Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad’s (MIDF) eighth year as a Rakan Utama at the annual Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) organised by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) which will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah from 20 – 28 April 2012.
In addition, MIDF will also organise a “Simposium Usahawan MIDF MSAM 2012”, a symposium targeted for entrepreneurs from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from Sabah.
Visitors to MSAM will also have a chance to win daily prizes sponsored by MIDF by participating in quizzes organised by PNB. MIDF has sponsored 15 Modenas MR1 motorcycles and 35 mountain bicycles.
In order to encourage the public to attend MSAM 2012, MIDF also continues to provide free transportation for visitors of MSAM. There will be 36 buses covering the Kota Kinabalu city centre as well as to extensive outskirt areas including Sepangar, Dogonggan, Putatan and Inanam.
Ten shuttle vans will also be provided to ferry MSAM 2012 working committee members of various PNB Group of Companies from major hotels in Kota Kinabalu to the MSAM site at Kompleks Sukan Kota Kinabalu. These free transportation services will be made available throughout the duration of MSAM and will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
“MIDF started providing free transportation services during MSAM since 2007 in Kuantan, Pahang. Our objective is to offer convenience for the Rakyat who want to visit MSAM as parking spots at the event site may be limited due to the overwhelming numbers of visitors,” said MIDF Group Managing Director, Datuk Mohd. Najib Hj. Abdullah. “This is our service to the community and we hope that the free transportation service will encourage more people to visit MSAM as it is not often that a free exhibition is being organised to educate the public on financial planning and investments”
