MIDF's Development Finance Division organised a hybrid business matching session with GLCs
MIDF's Development Finance Division (DFD) organised a hybrid business matching session with GLCs from 18 until 21 October 2022. The physical session was held at Dewan Mahkota in SME Corporation Malaysia’s office in KL Sentral while the online session was hosted on SME Corp’s MatchMe virtual platform. Representatives from 101 SMEs attended the event in person while representatives from 29 SMEs joined virtually.
This was the second business matching event that was held in collaboration with SME Corp and served as a platform for registered SMEs to connect with anchor companies, providing them with access to the participating GLCs’ supply chain. 8 anchor companies were involved in the 4-day event which was estimated to have had a total potential sales value of RM28.7 million with a total of 232 businesses matched physically and 58 businesses virtually matched. The participating anchor companies included Telekom Malaysia, UMW, Duopharma, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malaysia Airlines Berhad, PLUS Malaysia Berhad, PROTON and PETRONAS Ventures. This event is one of the many programmes planned by DFD this year which are all aimed at providing existing and potential clients with updates on the various financing assistance and schemes currently available via MIDF to encourage the growth and further development of SMEs in the country.
