In conjunction with International Volunteers Day on 5 December 2021, Malaysia Outreach Volunteer Experience (MOVE) and volunteers from MIDF distributed baby kits made up of a pack of diapers and two packs of baby milk to 60 families from PPR Seri Anggerik. In addition to the baby kit, each family also received fresh eggs, snacks, and self-care items. The project, called ‘Project Anakku MIDF 2021’ is one of MOVE’s large-scale projects which was sponsored by MIDF as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative, MIDF Prihatin.

On 4 December 2021, volunteers from MIDF made up of Cik Irmawati Mahamad, Puan Mastura Mukhlas, Encik Saufi Hj Husain and Cik Farisya from the Group Strategic Communications Department as well as Puan Ariza Yusof from the Administration Department began distributing the items at 9 a.m.

This project was also made successful with the help of the Malaysian Association Youth Clubs (MAYC) Lembah Pantai which helped collect information and select beneficiaries from PPR Seri Anggerik according to the pre-determined criteria. Meanwhile, members of the Residents’ Association expressed their gratitude as this was the first time such a project has been held in their housing area and we're hopeful that these contributions would continue in the future.;

The United Nations Volunteers Programme (UNV) coordinates International Volunteer Day (IVD) on 5 December every year to recognize and promote the tireless work, not just of UN Volunteers, but of volunteers across the globe and encourages individual volunteers, organisations, and communities to boost their contributions towards the development and betterment of the world at both the grassroots and international levels. The day is also observed by civil societies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the private sector.
