MIDF Group’s Security Policy

MIDF Group has strict standards of security and confidentiality to safeguard our customer information. Any personal data we process will be treated with the utmost care and security as we recognise the importance of protecting and managing your personal data. Furthermore, we shall comply with and adhere to the requirements of Bank Negara Malaysia and Personal Data Protection Act 2010 pertaining to the privacy and confidentiality of the personal data and transactions, as well as the need to maintain the security and integrity of our system. This section sets out the security measures we have in place.

 

How We Keep Your Data Safe

We use a variety of physical and technical measures to keep your personal data safe and against unauthorised or accidental access, disclosure or processing. We do this by:

  • implementing appropriate physical, electronic and internal processes to safeguard and secure your personal data (i.e. enhanced data-encryption methods, anti-virus detection and prevention procedures, 24/7 surveillance and detection),
  • protecting our web servers behind "firewalls" and our systems are monitored to try to prevent any unauthorised access,
  • ensuring our staff receive data protection and information security training, and are required to follow detailed security and data protection policies when handling your personal data,
  • taking all practical steps to ensure that personal data will not be kept longer than necessary and comply with all laws and regulations in Malaysia concerning the retention of personal data.

 

Our Commitment To Secure Your Data

We shall endeavor to conduct regular and thorough reviews or audits of our security measures. In the event any defects or otherwise a breach of our systems is discovered, we shall in the case of a security breach, promptly report the same to the appropriate management and Bank Negara Malaysia, and immediately proceed to rectify or remedy the same. For this purpose, we may be required to temporarily or indefinitely suspend all use of our system until such time when the said defects are rectified or remedied without any notice and without any liability whatsoever to you.
